Palm Springs...and more

We recently spent a much needed 4 days/ 3 nights in scorching Palm Springs with our dear friends Nate & Serena.  As we've discovered during our first full "summer" in San Francisco....summer might actually be the chilliest time of year here!  (Over these past couple of weeks it has actually been (gasp-) warmer in Seattle!)  Anyway, I digress- ...it was so nice to wake up each morning with no agenda, and not be worried about accomplishing much of anything beyond getting an even tan.  We spent time in the pool, ate some delicious food (i.e. TintoBirba and Cheeky's), and Serena and I had a mini adventure riding beach cruisers into town while the boys played golf.

We stayed at the Saguaro, a brand new Joie de Vivre hotel.  And yes, Mahoney came too!

We got back home just in time for the holiday, and celebrated at our very own apartment.  We played a rousing game of "Farkle" with the Reynolds pair, and watched the firework show(s) from the rooftop of our building.  It was such a treat to have front row seats in the comfort of our own home!

Whenever I look at this picture, I think of that Sesame Street song, "which one of these is not like the others"...  :)
